I've had my 3DS XL for almost two years now, and this has been a non-stop annoyance for me the whole way.
This device is SO RIDICULOUSLY QUIET, it's maddening.
Even though I set the volume of all the games I play on it to the absolute max, it's still ridiculously quiet.
It just isn't loud enough to really enjoy the music and sound effects in the games.
And this is especially painful with Smash Bros, since the music and sound effects are so incredibly lively and exciting.
I know this is probably a hopeless question but is there any way at all to boost the 3DS XL's volume past its default maximum?
I've already purchased Smash Bros, but each time I go to play it, I'm starting to think that I should just stick my 3DS XL into storage and stop spending money on games for it, since the volume just kills the whole experience for me.
P.S. And does anyone know why the 3DS XL has such low max volume? Is this some demented "protect children's ears" restriction? Or an even more demented "the hardware is limited in what it can do" restriction?
