The other night, I wanted to play some Pokémon White, so I went to grab my 3DS in the other room. I got the 3DS, but apparently I prematurely popped out the Animal Crossing: New Leaf cartridge. The system gave me the typical message one recieves when pulling out a cartridge, but I thought nothing of it and pressed the Home button to return to the Home menu. However, it was taking an exceptionally long time to load up the home menu, so I shut the system off and started it up again. This time, however, only a black screen appeared.
Since then, the black screen was all that would load when I booted up the system. The only other thing I could do was press the power button to go to the shutdown screen. Pressing home here would bring up the "Home Menu" splash screen, but it would stick there, as well. I tried turning it off an on, letting the power die out and recharge, and even the emergency "force-update" menu you can reach by holding L,R,Up, and A when you press the power button, but nothing seemed to be working. Each time I got the same black screen with the same green "3D" LED and the same power light.
My system is a standard Cosmo Black 3DS recieved after sending in my old one for repairs, with quite a few downloaded games and apps, as well as money in the eShop. Does anyone have any advice or remedy for this issue? Any help would be appreciated!
[EDIT: Changed title to say "In Place of Home Menu," instead of "In Place of Home Button."]
Also, don't mind my silly username.
