i just did a system transfer and now all my save data is gone. i had a 3ds and was transferring to a new 3ds xl. in the old one was an 8gb sd card with 3.73 gb of data on it. and the brand new 3ds has the standard 4gb micro sd card. i try to do the transfer wirelessly as there should be enough room. it says there is not and to do a pc transfer. i don't have a micro sd card reader so i go and buy a 16 gb micro sd card, put it in the new 3ds and tried again. it still said there is not enough room, do a pc transfer. the new micro sd card came with an adapter so i could now do it this way. i go through all the steps and says to copy the data from the old card to the new, i do so. i complete the process and the system comes on. almost all my downloaded software and games are missing. i go to the nintendo store. it remembers my username and such and when i get into the store it has a list of all the games and software i've downloaded. i re-download all of it.
i then startup mario kart 7 (downloaded) and all my save data is gone. started up let's golf 3d (downloaded) and same situation, the save data is gone.
how do i get my save data back? the system transfer is complete and my old 3ds returned to factory settings.
