I apologize if this may have been asked before, but I was thinking about getting a New 3DS to replace my original one since the smaller version was just released today. However, I had a few questions about the transfer process. From what I have seen online, it looks like my Friend List and my Pre-installed applications would transfer to the new system. Would any of the data remain on my old system too, or would it be completely wiped like a factory reset? I'm wondering for two reasons mainly. I'd rather not collect all the puzzle pieces in StreetPass again and for the friend list, I wasn't sure how that would affect the Friend Safari in Pokemon X and Y. As I thought your 3DS friend code was specifically tied to the 3DS system, I would think that your system's new friend code would be utilized after the transfer and your old friends wouldn't recognize your system if you were online. Does your Friend Code from the old system transfer as well?
And a little more specific to the Pokemon X and Y games, but if you do the transfer and you keep your old friends, would you need to wait for them to appear online again to access all three of the Pokemon in the friend safari?
