I got a refurbished 3DS a few days ago and a new physical copy of pokemon x. I started playing pokemon and it worked just fine for about 8 hours of game time. Now any time I start a battle I get two black screens and the bottom one says, "An error has occured. Hold down the POWER Button to turn off the power, then turn it on and try again." (No error code is given)
This only happens when I start a battle but it is every battle right now so the game is pretty much broken for me. I have tried wild pokemon, trainer and online battles and every time it goes black like it would for a normal battle but then the error comes up. I have tried both connected and disconnected from the Internet, charger plugged in and not, but still no luck.
My 3DS softeware is up to date and I have the 1.2 patch for pokemon x. I do not have access to another 3DS so I can't tell if it is my system or the game that is causing problems. I figured I would see if anyone had any ideas for what I could try before I start a new game to see if that works.

I deleted my save and started a new game and the problem is still there. The first battle I am put in after I choose my pokemon it crashes.
