Okay, so what am I doing wrong?
Firstly, Airy (the fairy) said as soon as midnight strikes I can speak with the Traveling Merchant to do a Net Invite. That doesn't work; it wasn't until 2AM on Sunday that I could do another Net Invite. Tried Midnight on Monday, no go, 3 AM, no go. It finally went through late afternoon on Monday. Tried Midnight-3AM Tuesday (today), again, no. Finally, it did let me do it this morning at 7AM.
Be that as it may, I joined a forum on Monday night for Friend Codes because StreetPass is patently ridiculous in the United States. Number one, I'm mostly a homebody; Number Two, the odds of actually passing someone on the street with a 3DS/2DS are astronomical.
Anywho, so yeah, got a few new friends and spoke with the Traveling Merchant and used the Add Friends (via Internet) under the Save tab. Voila, it said "Succuess" and showed me a list of them, with their "moves" and such.
HOWEVER, I have no new Villagers in Norende. I've tried the Add Friends twice already, both said successful, but they clearly aren't. 
What gives, am I doing something wrong? SInce I live in Hawaii, I almost wanna track down the Square office. Womp Womp.
Anybody else experiencing something similar?
