Alright, so I know there is quite a few posts about this, but I seem to have tried everything with no results. I am stationed in Kuwait using a Kuwaiti hotspot(Dont know if that make a difference, because works just like any other american hotspot even works on Verizon towers.) I can connect to the hotspot device(Access point) but not to the Internet. I have tried numerous troubleshooting methods to include:
-Changing the DNS to 8.8.8.8 primary and 8.8.4.4 secondary
-Setting static IP/Default Gateway/Subnet Mask
-Setting DMZ within my hotspot
-Making sure ther is no MAC filtering
-Changing to security back to WEP and even taking it off all together
-Changing the MTU incase somehow the packet/frame sizes were too large(Kind of shooting in the dark on that one)
Also, when I use the Internet browser it works flawlessly, I just cant seem to get it to pass a connection test or work in pretty much everything else other than the browser. I sure theres a reason and a way to fix it. It's brand new, not even a week old, but I haven't been able to update it other than whatever update came with Pokemon Y(which also won't connect to the Internet). Any new suggestions would be helpfull.
Note: I haven't tried port-forwarding yet, because I'm still new to that aspect of networking, but if someone has something to offer in that direction I'm all ears.
