My touch screen, Circle Pad, D-Pad, A, B, X ,Y, L, and R buttons are not responsive at all. I just woke up this morning, picked up the system, and, after playing for a while, the touch screen stopped working. Before I could reach System Settings and recalibrate it, the Circle Pad stopped working, immediately followed by the failure of the A, B, X, Y, L, and R buttons. (START, SELECT, and, HOME still work, though.) This isn't the first time this happened, but here are the details of this specicfic incident:
It happened while playing The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D, nearing the end of Snowhead Temple. The touch screen stopped working as I was trying to drag the Deku Mask to I. Upon realizing that the controls were about to go dead (again, this has happened before) I made my way to the Feather Statue at the beginning of the dungeon.
The Circle Pad, D-Pad, and buttons went unresponsive shortly after I had saved at the Feather Statue and closed the software.
The 3DS is in great condition (just wipe a few sumdges of the top screen and it's as good as new) and is not even a year old (I took it out of the box and finished the first-time setup Christmas 2014).
So, I have a few questions.
What caused it to happen?
Why did it happen?
Is there anyway I can fix it without sending it to Nintendo or buying a new system?
I should mention that this issue usually fixes itself, but this particular incident has been prolonged.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
