I have the older model of the 3DS, just to start this off.
So recently I bought the new Animal Crossing game and was stoked! There were no issues before getting this game. Shovel Knight played fantastically along with the other games.
I popped that sucker in and played for a couple of hours. It was all good and the button and system was fine. So, I quit the game and shut it off for the night. I still have the charging station and put it there. The next morning I wake up and play for a bit, then notice that everything in the game is going right? Like when you choose your items. Confused, I quit and shut it down.
I gave it a couple hours and turned it back on. The issue stayed. The right trigger button hasn't ever had an issue like this before. In the menu, it shows that it's being pressed down, despite the fact it's not. I treat my systems wonderfully, so what went wrong?
I'm kind of mad about this. I've tried the toothbrush trick too, but it didn't work at all.
My warranty has expired too, which sucks.
So, should I just upgrade as of now? Or is there a way I can fix this?
